Note: If you're using Windows XP or Windows Server 2003 or any old version of Windows you're not gonna get more than 512FPS because of some kernel restrictions

However, there's a metamod plugin which actually gives 1000fps even 2000fps+ on XP, but then again that particular plugin will almost burn CPU if you've low resources.

Though, you didn't asked but phir b the reason behind why you can't get more than 512fps (by default) on XP and old version is, Microsoft did KANJOOSI on building kernels and HPET was removed in those old kernals, lately they removed the limitation in Vista+ Windows.

I know but the plugin which I'm talking about is just amazing, I don't know how Russian guys made it possible but it does make difference, I've seen it..

I don't mind sharing it but it can hurt a P4 quite cheaply...
