What does Bass have to do with it?

Ideally u want 2x Front Speakers and 1xWoofer
I am talking about the 2x Front Speakers (Alpine Type S Components)

Everyday speakers like Kenwood 718 dont hold a candle to the sound quality of Component Speakers
Component Speakers themselves need an Amplifier to work properly

No car speakers need any amp to work man. That's just you and everyone else's thinking.

And nope, ideally they're 2 front speakers and 2 rear speakers. So what people do is that they usually change all 4 to get the best sound quality. And now days, since a while, cars are coming with 2 front (side door speakers). This does give a good bass effect, but not that much of a good sound quality as both speakers are facing towards each other.

What I meant by the sub-woofer was that speaker bass isn't required when a sub-woofer is installed. That can be overall decreased from the deck whereas the bass of the sub-woofer can be increased from the sub-woofer control.

They work without AMP but they dont work at their potential without an AMP and u clearly note the difference

I wouldnt call it "Just my thinking" as i have experienced it myself and it is also the general opinion on Pakwheels.com

2Front + Woofer is preferable for some
      2Front + 2Rear is preferable for others

2Front in both cases should be Component Speakers

With my experience in car audio systems, I'd have to disagree with that (again, that's just my opinion and have even proved my point in previous posts).

That's obvious and if someones willing to pay that extra amount for it.

So if I don't want an amp, should I get component speakers?
Remember there are no stupid questions, just stupid people.

Yes you can, those speakers anyways don't need to be powered by any amp.

Only if u plan on adding an AMP in the Future else its a waste of money as any good Coaxial Speaker will do the Job at a cheaper price

The stock pre is very good.Only the speakers r weak. Go for component speaker in front and install front ones in back door. If u want amp and woofer they can be placed under the back seats. There is a lot of space under the rear seats!!!
