Corolla altis or honda vtec for local use ?

so i was wondering to get a car for my local use like going market , roaming etc
so just wanted to know that should i go for honda reborn or corolla altis (not 2012 model :P)
since i have been hearing from many people that go for corolla as maintaining honda is too costly as honda is not capable of these bumpy road !!!

HONDA is a sheer pleasure though maintenance is tough for honda, i pretty much like honda reborn's shape. Corolla seems bumpy

Wow a 2 million Rs. car for going to the market in pindi?

If maintenance isn't an issue then Reborn is better. Oh and reborn has terrible fuel consumption too.

Honda surely has a very bumpy ride because it has a hard suspension. Altis in comparison has an overall a much ride in the form of comfort and its suspension isn't that hard either.

Talking about what's more costly and what's not?
Even a simple oil change of Honda would cost much more than that of an Altis.

Winner in all aspects: Toyota Altis.

you need to know that honda runs on complicated specs.
for the time being, there's no civic DOHC - iVTEC engine sold in PAKISTAN except for accord and above model. CITY and CIVIC that's called orient is only powered by SOHC engine.

in comparison Honda's CITY is equivalent to Toyota's Belta and CIVIC is equivalent to COROLLA Altis.
Higher specs for Honda's Accord is also equivalent to Toyota's Camry (These 2 are very expensive)

if you're wondering what that means. make it simpler for u to understand.
DOHC engine is dual overhead cam means extra power compared to SOHC sold in Pakistan currently available for you to buy. Unless you get it imported from japan or Dubai.

There's two detailed specs for DOHC engine that's iVTEC you're referring to and iDSI (fuel efficient less powered engine)
iVTEC works like turbo boost. normal engine ie toyota's VVTi can't cope with iVTEC power. so you got powerful engine with on and off the extra power when you needed to.

Bear in mind upon choosing car you buy might be all about cost saving and resale value. However Toyota is much more famous than honda in PAKISTAN as a whole. So if you plan to buy and plan to resale the car, get Toyota. If you want to use it for maximum pleasure, Honda is the best money can buy.

      Honda for pleasure and power
Toyota is more economical + high resale value

No doubt honda is the best but maintenance is quite costly. And the suspension of corolla is very durable but I have heard that the new shape corolla has very hard suspension so it can get a lil uncomfy for very long bumpy roads. But no doubt civic has a great engine, and a lot better grip.

Both are great cars. Toyota you'll get a bit better resale value though.

Civic is superior in looks where as altis is more fuel efficient since it comes in 1.6 now aswell as dual vvti engine which is a lil bit more fuel efficient then the normal vvti. There's also the option of 1.6 GLI but i won't recommend that. Better spend a little more for altis.
