Altec Lancing Octane 7 + Verbatim 8.5GB 10 Pack Box Set

Few hours back got Altec Lansing Octane 7 2.1 Stereo Speakers + Verbatim 8.5GB Dual Layer Blank Media 10 Pack.

Here are the un-boxing snaps taken from SE Arc smartphone. 8MP camera reso.

Bass and treble sound both are above average. Needed this for my notebook and im happy with this purchase.

Good thing about speakers is that i've been given a 3 year warranty and i've'nt paid a single cent for it. The salesperson and i talked 'bout Prodigy ' The Fat of The Land' album as i plug my smartphone to this stereo on display having similar album song and we talked for half n hour. He was into electronic genre and prodigy as his fav so he given an exclusive warranty on top of the marked down price for this set.

actual price of this set was A$147 and i was given a A$20 discount and 3 year warranty on top. so what else can be asked more after this. loved it.

Altec's arent what they used to be anymore.
They've moved away from the mainstream sound market.
No 5.1 systems from them in i dont remember how long.
Even though i have a GT5051R from Altec and they're AWEEEESOME

How do these babies sound on your lappy though ?

sounds good. i've plugged it into Sony vaio notebook and sounds kinda cool but once i attached these babies to my macbook the sound was like 10 times better. the only thing left now is to buy an amp enhancer that will be my next target.
