help with gta 4

but i am still happy with patch 3 and ice enhancer graphics mod

it sounds like the mod maybe incompatible with your hardware that's why you're having performance issues by the way my former graphics card the geforce 8600 gt 256 mb ddr3 was able to run that game on medium graphics with decent fps on the following configuration

* Grand Theft Auto IV (Original)
* Patch v1.0.4
* Liveless Patch
* Razor1911 Crack

.well if i go for the settings and patches you mentioned then i will face no problem as i played game with all mentioned cracks and high settings and my game runs smoothly with 30fps +
but i am asking this with respect to graphics mod "ice enhancer".after applying this patch.if i go inside any building or in night it goes too dark.that nothing is visible

u need to change some settings of ur icenhancer mod, read some comments on this page

i hope u will find a solution with the help of modifying this mod it looks like this is a major problem as the many guys are complaining about the author should have to provide a fix for this issue and as far as the performance is concerned this mod looks like a very heavy graphics intensive application perhaps ur video card is good enough to handle it but u know the cpu is also a dependable thing since u have an underpowered cpu which is bottle necking ur video card u should consider upgrading ur cpu to resolve performance issues in games

well i am not facing any performance issue with game and happy with the performance of my system.only thing was darkness problem which relate to some tweaking and modding else my game is running good

bro gta4 is all about tweaking....you have to find perfect balance of graphic enhancements and fps....

for me i am playing 25+fps wit ice enhancer with high graphic textures (7gb).... with motion blur.....

my specs are similar to him
e5300
gts 250 512mb
2gb ram

one more thing i would like to mention here that some mods can turns a decent game into a crap just don't like to have some eye candy over that type of game which is one of the most un-optimized title ever released on pc on the other hand if u try sr3 u would observe how cool it runs on dx11 graphics under windows 7 without any glitches

Patch 1.0.4.0 is best patch ever and gud too.. Patch 1.0.7.0 is for high end pc's use the first one i mentioned

but when i apply patch 4 it nakes my game un usable by saying some files are missing reinstall the gamr
do you have any solution for this?
