I've been trying to run Ghost Trick Phantom on my r4 but I keep getting the error "load rom errcode=-4". Same thing is happening with Radiant Historia. Know a fix anyone?

first off tell me the website written on your R4 kart and if it is compatible download THIS and install it to your R4 firmware using the instructions in the rar file. Within the rar file will be a .txt file (named "Known carts that can use DSTT Firmware.txt") which will tell you whether your R4 is compatible with this or not and if it is you can run games more easily.

This is how I was able to run professor layton and kirby on my DS on their launch dates, I highly recommend you bookmark that page and check it back often, it is really useful to those of us who own non genuine R4 cards and need the highest game compatibility possible. If you need more help simply tell me the website on your R4 and I will give you simplified instructions on how to help you further IF your cart is compatible,

Step 1.

Download the latest firmware of your flashcard from the site ON your flashcard i.e the one you linked me above. Copy the contents of THAT rar file to your root i.e the MAIN directory your flash card memory card (if you still don't get it the root is the main menu you see when you put the micro sd IN your PC and you right click on it and do "open".

Step 2.

Go HERE and download BOTH the files open "26745-RetroGameFan Multi Cart Update v6.72.rar" and copy the contents of the "R4-SDHC_R4i-SDHC TTMenu" folder to the MAIN directory again of your microsd.

Step 3.

From the above link (HERE) now download "RetroGameFan DAT Update v6.72 5930" and copy IT'S contents (EXCEPT for the .txt files copy every other file) to the TTMenu folder which is in the root of your microsd. now all 4 .dat files should be INSIDE /TTMenu on your memory card.

Step 4.

Safely remove your microsd from the PC, put it back in your DS and start it up, now on the main menu of your flash card look for TTMenu.nds press A on it and you will see a new interface pop up. once inside choose the game you want to run and voila if you need any more help I am online till 3 and have this thread open till then.

Ok I have a DSi XL and an R4i SDHC....I cant seem to update it.....When I do update it nothing happens...The previous menu disappears and nothing comes up.....

Your lucky you have that particular R4 since it's the same one I own, whenever a new game comes out (although no good games are in sight) always update your retrogamefan files) although the version you have right now should run all the latest games up till 16th december. So that will include the latest Layton and Kirby: Mass Attack

tell me the site name for your R4 card and I will tell you =) if it is you just follow the same steps as I outlined for Magma.
