Samsung Galaxy Y GT-S5360 Charging Problem

Ok so I went to Singapore plaza Rawalpindi to sell my galaxy y. I went there unboxed the phone (I had done Factory Reset) before leaving and when we got there the guy tried charging the phone first with the original Samsung charger then with a lumia 800 usb cable. The phone didn't charge with any of them (fu***** piece of shit phone) and then after that he tried another Galaxy Y battery, when he tried that on my phone it worked fine (it charged). Then he put my battery in the other galaxy Y and it charged on that too. He tried charging many different phones with my charger and they all worked. And the phone also starts charging itself even when there is nothing plugged in (oooh demon phone). so what do I do? I've tried factory reset countless times. What do I do with it? Should I smash it into a million pieces with a rubber mallet (I think that is what it deserves) or should I throw it in the bin? Please help guys. thanks

There could be a problem in the charging port/usb port?

Fine I'll get a new battery. And plugging through PC USB port has slightly different reaction. When I move the usb around (the part that's plugged into the phone) then if I move it to the right place it works.

Your USB port is the problem.

Nah I won't bother to get it checked unless I need to use the phone, cause I'm using this right now Nokia C5-03 - Full phone specifications and my Galaxy Y is just lying around on a table in my room. Besides the guy in the shop was only offering 2.5k for the phone.
      Now tell me:
      Phone (overall condition: 5/10)
      Charger, USB Cable
      5 months warranty
      Original IMEI mathcing box
Do you think it should go for 2.5k? When I bought it for 14k back in December 2011.
Thanks for the help man, seriously I appreciate it.

Why dont you avail the warranty and get the port fixed. The selling price will obviously rise.

You could get approximately 5-7k for it if it is in 10/10 or 9.5/10 condition due to its poor resale value and more better phones in that price range.
