Just bought Sygic Maps for 8£..

The new version 11.2.6 has changelog of more Updated Maps for Pakistan...

i am official user of Sygic now...

Nope i didn't know that. Because never bothered to check that.

But it sounds interesting because it had additional features too.

However, you yourself has said that the PreCache option downloads Vector Data as comped to My Trails which download Imaged TILES.

For 'features' we already have Sygic (Thanks to you) and for Maps, i think the PreCache option is much better as compared to MyTrails.

Your thoughts?

Hybrid maps is something that i miss in Sygic maps... Once you are out of major city, roadmaps aren't really helpful...

Google Maps app only caches Roadmaps but not hybrid maps which really helps you in remote areas out on a trip...

I bought Sygic because it was really helpful within city navigation and deserved it... Atleast someone has to support them in continuing their support for Pakistan...

They sent me activation code without asking imei # or any other thing... Its just like windows key you get.. I think it can be used on multiple devices...

I feel like sharing it with 2 to 3 guys here but can't take risk...

Yes i can take risk if 3 to 4 guys share product cost... If it gets blocked, we all die together... If it doesn't, we are king... Now decide..

you mean during activation?... I don't know...i was online connected with wifi... I just entered key and got Activation successful... i don't know if it connected or not but it was so quick that i would doubt it... But still it has to go online once later, who knows if it gets blocked later or not...

You dont need internet for lock on. It only assists in locking on quickly, hence they call it assisted gps or A-GPS. Difference on my nokia n95 is 15-20secs lock on with internet and upto 2 mins without internet/EDGE.
Though my iphone 4 locks almost immediately ( with sygic) when i am outside without any internet connection.


Exactly. GPS is a satellite-based system.

Android has edge i think. I mean we have the cracked apk with latest maps. So why did you buy the software since you own an android device

I have :=
**1:- Chinese Gps navigation device, window 5 base.
**2:- Garmin nuvi 1310, having working Garmin maps but I like Sygic, then Navitel and at the last Garmin ( Device is also window base)
**3:- Nokia N79, two mobile set, both are working with garmin XT applications but the same reason for them also
*so please tell me where to get the software*

@abobo : hey can you help me with gps? I haven't ever used it. How does it work? First i download the sygic app then activate gps? That way I can use it as a navigator? And gprs is used for downloading maps?

i enabled GPS and ran sygic and no idea how do i get my current location so that i can start with the GPS in sygic

No idea how to use it though
