Forget Nokia >Sony Ericsson XPERIA X5 Concept offers a glimpse into the future

THATS WHAT I CALL A NOKIA KILLER. RATED BEST OF BEST AFTER LAUNCH OF XPERIA 1 & X2. NOT X2, X3 YEAH X5 GLIMPSE. FANTASTIC

Recuperating from the enormous heartaches of waiting for the XPERIA X2, which still seems to evade us some how. Even the X3 has got its bit of rumors around but what are we in for now, I would never imagine. Sony Ericsson has dropped the X5 on us, though it is still in its conceptual days. The QWERTY keyboard looks ‘different’ from most of the things we’ve seen thus far. Other features include a fantastic 12 MP camera (which I hope doesn’t get obsolete by the time the concept is realized), HD recording and a 3.5” touchscreen.

As far as concepts go, this one is pretty tame. The XPERIA X5 Nadine is spec’d out with a futuristic QWERTY slider, 3.5-inch touchscreen, 12-megapixel camera (with auto-focus and Xenon flash), HD video recording and access to Sony Ericsson’s App Store – all features that could possibly make an appearance in an XPERIA smartphone a year or so down the line. tob!s even took the time to Photoshop a few different color variants – Chrome Silver, Ocean Blue and Sunny Orange.

        Monitor: Samsung 906BW 19" 2ms
        CPU: Intel E5300 2.6 @ 3.45GHz
Cooler: Stock with Artic Silver 5
Motherboard: XFX XG31i (embarrassing I know)
        Memory: 2GB DDR2 - 800 (Samsung)
        GPU: HIS HD4850 IceQ4 Turbo
        HDD: 80GB Internal + 2x 60GB External for data
Chassis: Open case tin ka dabba XD
        PSU: PowerStation2 400 (12v+ 29A)
        Soundcard: Built In
        OS: Windows 7
You do know this is a CONCEPT fone, and doesnt have any specification that isnt totally "super wow" apart from the "touch keyboard". Even the soon to be launched Sony Ericsson Satio has the same specifications (12mp etc)

Ive had the Xperia X1 for a while, I prefer the older SE P series to this new Xperia lineup. Basing it on Windows has made it totally un-sony ericcson. SE has always had UIQ3 Symbian on its Touchscreens ... ! The Satio however uses Symbian, so its easy to use ...

Well, don't give a damn about concept phones as a lot concept phones come and go, non go into production. And as far as R.I.P. Nokia, that won't happen unless dumb a**es start giving shit about crappy SE phones.

@ Sir Ahsan: For now, Nokia owns the majority of shares of Symbian and Samsung owns a small part of shares which makes these both manufacturers exclusive to Symbian OS. SE phones won't be having Symbian OS anymore so I guess forget about it :P

If that thing makes it to the market! It'll sell like hot cakes!!!
In this world all that glitters IS GOLD.
Yep the glossy+slim finish is the only success factor to the iphone, and not to mention the touch screen...

it's not just concept dude! concepts are designed for ppl to make them reality from thier appraisal surveys and mate Sony Ericsson is considering changing the Windows Mobile OS which it is currently using for their upcoming Xperia X1 & 2 plus X3 too, that's simple as that: Sony Ericsson won’t split up just yet and they will continue to create smarter phones. it will be one of the masterpieces of smartphones technology at year2011 and a breaking news for nokia to never underestimate its opposition!!

Sum: it's just when rumored were there in the early 70's to late 90's that Japanese manufacturers were copying German Tech now world is seeing the opposite of it. example, lexus LS460 v.s. BMW 7 series. copycats. so finnish high flying will see much deviation sooner then later.......ofcourse from Japan and Korea
