Exclamation [Suggestion Needed] Sony Erission and Homeshopping.pk

Hi guys could you please share ur experiences with Sony Ericsson android phones ( performance wise and how was the after sales services)

Are there any service center or shops where they have SE phones on display in Lahore?

secondly i wanted to know if anyone has ordered from Homeshopping.pk ? (are the sets real deal or some fake copies and any experience of there inhouse warranty)

Why am i asking all these questions?

they are selling black and Silver Xperia Pro for 27,000 (~$300) (+300 delivery charges) this is kinda waaay too low price cause its selling for around 410 USD on amazon while the prices of most stores is above $320

      Xperia Pro Prices

So are they reliable or is it toooo good to be true deal?

Will really appreciate ur quick suggestions and replies.

There is no such thing as "copy phones" being sold as real phone as only a truly blind person wont notice it. The worst case scenario is slightly used phones being sold as new or phones with some defect. Home shopping offers one week money back guarantee which protects you from both the scenarios.

The reason why their phones are cheaper is because they are importing SE phones from the UAE, there is nothing to worry about.

My co worker bought Sensation XE from homeshopping. Its workiing perfect but one thing you should be aware about is that his set was slightly used( although its mentioned that is new). his set was opened in dubai/UAE and was used for few hours. Apart from this there are no issue with homeshopping

I got a GSII I9100G and surprisingly although they say they open their boxes, the phone was seal packed(original seal) and they still refunded me even though I had opened the box.

This is actually the same situation i saw in every good damn shop locally too...

They would wrap the set in plastic and sell as brand new... I was buying wildfire S and it made me nuts... I opened two sets and the seller will take oaths that it's brand new but it's still used.. it's normally 2 weeks used or so... I had enough experience with buying mobiles after getting ripped off couple of times and could identify s used and new one otherwise a normal person can't identify it easily...

Despite their oaths i checked two sets and they were used as i could see dust in corners ... The third set i opened was genuinely new as i could see the virginity of it clearly...

Either it's homeshopping or ishopping or any other seller... If it's seal is removed then there are 80% chances that it's been slightly used but repacked and sold as new...

What was the reason for returning the set? (HSN(Home Shopping Network) sent phone of wrong spec/had some sort of fault/didnt liked the set) and how long did the refund process took. ( Does their 7 days checking warranty means one can return the set if he dont likes it? )

Anyone here had any experience with claimimg warranty with HSN hows the response ( I am a little hesitant/worried cause a friend told me he had bad experience around a year back, HSN people didnt claimed warranty, and used some lame excuse)

@JJDOC thanks for ur sharing ur valuable experience and insights.

They probably thought you may not be able to tell. :P

But atleast they do refund thats the great thing because every business will try to profit from you as much as possible. Basically you cant get ripped off from home shopping if you know your stuff.
