[NBA] A Gift For Dad - Budget 25-30k

Assalam Alaikum,

I'm looking for a perfect tech gift for my dad to give on his wedding anniversary...

My dad is tech savvy guy, but (I know you may laugh after hearing this), he's a Nokia Fan-Man (fanboy won't sound right )...

Now I'm thinking of giving my dad a tablet, and if I fail to obtain a tablet then a cellphone...

Now I know my dad will just love Android but he's hesitant to try it out that's why I'm up for it to give it to him.

My 1st possible choice is to give him a tablet, my eyes are now set on Motorola XOOM, costs nearly 32k-34k in the market (might stretch to get to that range)

But I also had my eyes set for BB PLAYBOOK which I was getting for 24k brand new sealed...

So guys what are your thoughts on this?

For tablet, which tablet should I go for?
And what tablet can I get for in my price range?

And give your 2nd opinion for a cellphones...

Playbook lene say pehlay wait karlo till atleast 20th Feb. Let reviews for OS2.0 come in (17th Feb was release date set by BB few months ago). The hardware is extremely powerful for its price (Telus will have it on sale for 150$ a piece this week, keep checking it if you are buying from USA), but its OS1.0 sucks co**, atm it doesn't have any apps.

Dunno, not sure about Playbook now...

Motorola XOOM looks too good now, bigger screen size and specs comparable to Playbook except no 1080p videos while recording...

Price to performance dekho gay to get Playbook on first sight if its 150$ on weekend from USA.

Else get Motorola Xoom or any other established Android tablet.
