Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance coming to NA on the 31st of July

Square-Enix announced today that Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance is coming to North America on July 31, 2012! If you live in Europe then you can get your hands on the game August 3rd. If you haven't grabbed a Nintendo 3DS and you're a Kingdom Hearts fan then you might want to pick one up soon and get the game.

Sora and Riku, two of the most popular characters of the KINGDOM HEARTS franchise, are the playable protagonists in the latest title for the Nintendo 3DS system. Players can switch between them, using the Drop Gauge in order to battle strategically.

Calling -Kingdom Mix-
In its original form, Calling was already a light techno/j-pop beat composed on a synthesizer. The Kingdom Mix takes everything Calling was and dials it up to eleven. It now sounds more like an early nineties anime hit than anything modern—though that's not necessarily a bad thing. The other major change is the harmony vocal line which is now ever-present throughout the song—the result of which is a very haunting tune that is just as addictive as the original.

Square Enix has announced that a collector's edition of Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance will be made available for the North American launch on July 31. Called the Mark of Mastery Edition, it will go for the suggested retail price of $54.99.




The Mark of Mastery Edition will mark the very first Kingdom Hearts collector's set released in North America. It will include a copy of the game, a branded hard case 3DS skin cover and 12 art cards, all housed in a Kingdom Hearts-branded magnetic box. It will also come with five AR cards, allowing players to unlock Dream Eaters such as Meowjesty, Frootz Cat and Kab Kannon, as well as a viewing stand.

Not a bad deal for only an extra $15. I'll probably pick this up.
