Rumor: Splinter cell: Conviction arriving in Feburary

By now one should know that retailers' expected release dates for upcoming games that don't have official release dates aren't all that reliable. But after searching the internets and coming across the way long delayed (yet rather anticipated) Splinter Cell Conviction popping up at retailers with a similar February release, well ... we just had to share.

Online retailers including Amazon.com and Gamestop have Splinter Cell Conviction posted with an expected release date of February 2, 2009. Though, the February release doesn't quite gel with Ubisoft's earlier fiscal talk that made it clear Conviction wouldn't be available until April 2009 at the earliest. So, February 2nd doesn't seem all that likely, unless retailers know something we don't. And if that's the case, we're pointing an angry finger at Ubisoft.

really don't see this happening, according to them they were completely reimagining the game and we haven't seen a lick of media from their reimagined version ..

probably just a false place holder.

Well, the source itself is not bogus and so aren't amazon and gamestop. But it still look mighty impossible to say the least.

weather its a bogus news or whatever , i m happy to atleast hear somthing about splinter cell .

They might be releasing first info on the game. A release is just impossible.

i remember splinter cell traditionally coming in the spring but this is just too soon!

Well this game got out of the picture months ago ... m happy tht atleast its back in news, one of my most anticipated games of the year 2009....

this has taken too long but i dont see it coming this spring may be in autumn or Q4
