Totally concur... If you notice console cycle time like ps1,ps2,xbox and gc. They just ran in 5 years and after that they release nex gen consoles. IMHO 2012 is most suitable and ideal to release next gen consoles. If they release it in 2013 it will be too late.

no, 2012 is way too early, they should release it in 2015 or maybe 2016. I'll be buying when it will be fully hacked and after price drop.

I believe the current consoles can easily survive next year without any major hiccups. A 2013 release for the next-gen console seems just about the right time.
So what new would the next-gen consoles bring to the table? I'm very keen for an announcement in this regard.

Dude, consoles have been losing to the PC for years now, that's no reason to dish out new consoles early IMO, Games are still getting better and better visually on the current hardware and there's still a little bit of juice left to be squeezed out of them + I don't wanna spend money on a new console rite now

as far as multiplatform games are concerned ,pc will be the leader

Exactly winning against PC's in term of visuals is stupidity,keeping in mind even if the console gets released around 2013-2014 within 3 years time the PC will have extremely powerful graphics card and will out do consoles by that time.So as long as the juice is left in 360,they should be squeezing it.
