Holy WOW Saber Interactive! That is some fine work there with the Art and texture! Even if you're not a Halo fan, you must really watch this little video all the way through. Some of the in-door forerunner spaces look absolutely out of this world!

Whats exactly there to laugh about? There are a billion instances of highly anticipated games surprising everyone for the wrong reason. Nothing new over here.

I played the first level at my cousin's place last night. God! Saber's engine uses some pretty insane amount of particle effects. It felt like there were 10 sparks for each Assault rifle bullet fired.

It was actually fun shooting on metallic walls and seeing a shower of sparks spewing out of the walls and the sparks bouncing around on the floor. Its an effect unlike any other Halo game ever. Makes the weapons feel that much more powerful.

And you know what else makes the weapons feel powerful? The sound design. It is absolutely phenomenal. The remastered music is beautiful and the completely new sound effects for the weapons is SO satisfying. Even the sound effects for melee is better and SO much more brutal than any other Halo before.

This is the best remake of any game, ever.

Well, honestly speaking, I only meant to say that as a joke. Though, I did find it a bit weird to see your enthusiasm for this game decline all of a sudden, just because a couple of critics gave it less-than-expected scores.

I might have to disagree with you there slightly, but yes, it's definitely up there among the very best.

^ I'm talking about the technical efforts that have been made for this game. A completely new engine with completely new assets and a remixing of the original soundtrack plus other sound effects. Plus the addition of online co-op that wasn't in the original game. Plus the 7 new multiplayer maps, which, in my view, look miles better than the best looking default map in Reach. Its not everyday you get to see such remakes happen.

And all that for a $40 price tag. Pretty sick if you ask me.
