some one plz help me with my overclocking problem

i have e5200 with ausu p5kpl-vm
i overclocked it to 3.00 from 2.50 ghz

the temps are my concern. i m using stock cooler. in bios the temps are shown 57-58. i used averest the CPU temp is 50 on idle and goes upto 70+ when running prim95 test
but the core temps (REALTEMP, HWMONITOR,CORETEMP) programs show less degress like right now everest cpu temp is 49 and both core temps are 42 42

so which one should i go for? i went to another overclocking site and ppl were very nice and friendly there helped me out alot. just wanted a second opinion.

Well i dont know why its showing different temps, but hey ....70 degree is very dangerous of c2d processors....

yar if i were u i wud have never trusted everest alone
use realtemp (best emp tool)
coretemp
speedfan

yea actually these three programs show the same tempreture and i m taking these as my temreture readings

Salam to all,tell me anyone what is the average temp of intel core 2 duo e8400.mine is 57.is it ok.

at idle, c2d stays at 48 to 52c. On load it max goes to 61c. Are u on stock speed or overclock, if u are on stock speed then u should worry about ur temps.

get a cpu cooler, and mount fans in ur casing, btw which casing u r using?
