This Nation is Doomed!

....for good!

Today, i was on my way home from the university and, as always, I was supposed to pick up my younger sister from her school on the way. I arrived at the school and went inside the main gate and waited for her to show up. As I waited, i saw a mother and a father arguing with their daughter who looked to be not more than 7 years old.

They were barely 5 feet away from me. The father started off by telling the little girl how upset he was that she didn't stay in front of the gate as he had told her to on countless occasions. The girl innocently looked down in shame and didn't say a word and the father continued on his rant and I saw as he got angrier by the second.

From what i could tell, the girl had left the school premises for a while, gone into the parking lot to look for her parents, and then came back into the school because she couldn't find them.

But that's just my guess...Whatever the case, it was definitely certain that she left the school premises for one reason or the other.

I didn't really pay attention to this argument happening in front of me. It's a pretty common sight whenever you go to pick up your younger siblings from a Primary school. But what happened next was a complete shocker.

The mother pinched in the argument and said to her daughter:

"....haan tu koi pathan utha ke le jata tumhe phir?"

Are you f*cking kidding me?.....SERIOUSLY?!

Not only are you feeding your little child, an innocent young girl, with a fear of being kidnapped, but you're also indirectly forcing her to accept a prejudice against a certain group of people of your own country?

ARE YOU F*CKING OUT OF YOUR MIND, LADY?!

What will this girl learn when she grows up? What kind of ridiculous dogmas and doctrines will she be subjected to by her own parents? Worse, she will learn to not even question these LIES given to her by her own parents. She will learn to not use her brain, not use her reason, but simply accept what is being told to her by her parents.

Her close-minded relatives will condition her brain to think in a certain way, believe in certain norms, and practice certain things. They will even go as far as making her believe that this is what the religion says so...and you know the worst part? She will actually accept all of these things and grow up to be a complete narrow-minded, insignificant, emotionally and intellectually weak member of the society with NO self-confidence and no dignity.

Jahalat ki INTEHA hai is qaum me. What is this nation going towards?

PS: I'm not a pathan by the way.

aray 7 years ki bachi ko kya pata hoga pathan ya mahajir ka, you guys are totally taking it wrong way. OR jahalat toh har jaga hai, kisi race main kum nahi.

jab bache chotay hotay hain toh parents unhe darane k liey kuch bhi kehdete hain. but jub bache baray hojate hain toh wohi parents unhe samjha bhi dete hain.
ase toh hamaray parents bhi kya kya kehte thay hamein

You're completely missing the point here. Most people don't even give a second thought that what they say to a young child may end up sticking deep in their brains. At this age, mostly what you say to your child is taken by the child as the final truth as he/she is not mature and is still learning from whatever you have to offer.

They trust your word and your judgement and this is no way to befool them before they even grow up and start using the power of reason (if they even HAVE any power to use it at all)

well this isnt the first time pathans have been labelled something bad.... i mean look at the amount of jokes that are there about pathans ,, and how easily people tell them to everybody without a hint of remorse..... OUR COUNTRY is a very racist nation..... i guess we havent evolved enough to embrace this problem and find a solution.... probably cause we have bigger issues yet left to solve... killing , religious extremism, hunger , gender discrimination to name a few.... ok ill stop writing before i start getting even more depressed about our state....

p.s : he couldnt have done anything ,,, the family would have made a big ruckus and nothing positive could have come out of it....

Sharry, I wonder where she learned all the hate. I dont remember my mom ever even thinking about racism.

As for arguing part, well I never said to argue. Talking and arguing is something different. If I was there, I would have ignored her and talked to the kids father. What I would have talked about is pretty clear. Good thing I haven't found people like those in Lahore.

Just Off-Topic, one of my neighbor went to Karachi with his friend. He said that he carried his mobile in his underwear. First in shopper then in underwear. No wonder why.

Racism is huge in Pakistan. And the sad thing is people don't even know what racism is and that they are being racist.

Children in such an age take inspiration from their parents as they are their parents and the first grown-ups they get used to when they grow up.

Racism is prevalent amongst Karachiites. Not singling out any specific community per se.

Calm down man. He is just generally saying and he is right. He never said "every" Pathan is doing such things. Even I could've reacted to Ottoman's post but I know what he is saying.
Most of the Afghani pathans are illiterate and refugees. And its not just singling out pathans, the Punjabis, Sindhis, Muhajirs, Baloch and Saraiki are doing it but Pathans are usually under the limelight because they are too frequent with such activities.

And I am not a racist.

I doubt the mother said, "not all Afghani's are bad tho". She basically told her child to stay away from all Afghani Pathans, and he said he agrees with that cuz most Afghani Pathans do illegal stuff.

And parents are worry and aware from this condition in this cuntry and mothers are too sensitive from these cases they dont want children to become victims of these psychopath ciminals. Cuntry? I see what you did there

On topic, I would like to take some time off of my job to write this really brief excerpt. No dis intended.

The parents themselves are ill mannered, immature and the mother is illiterate and belongs to the same type of stereotypes that her daughter will later become. A typical wanna-be fabulous piece of meat that is brainless, this country will soon be full of blonds (intellectually) and since this is Pakistan, they will be ridiculously stupid and noisy.

What I strongly believe is that couples in Pakistan nowadays aren't ready or mature enough for parenting IMO, note that I called them 'couples' and not 'parents' because they are not. Its not about the kidnappings or the molestations, its about you, as a parent. And this is not just about racism, its about whatever you are feeding into your kid, directly or subconsciously, be it basic etiquette, living standard, religious beliefs, code of sanity, table manners, heck even the way your kid laughs. Giving birth takes 9 months but how a child is brought up is much more important and a responsibility that the current generation does not understand neither wants to uphold. I salute my father to this day who expired when I was 13, for his strictness, discipline and his code that he injected me with, and my mother for all her support, all I ever wish is to raise my kid(s) like them. And probably leave this filth of a nation as well, it will poise over time. I do not detest my country, but its everything about it that disgusts me.

And to all the people telling Yousuf that he should've confronted the couple somehow are juvenile, they are strongly emotional, as with the ordinary Pakistanis, and forget to 'think' every now and then. Put yourself in his shoes, I am sure you will understand. No offense.

If you really read this thorough, I thank you for your time. This certainly was amusing now to get back to work.

    Stay blessed guys. Godspeed.

    Replying to Shary Bhallu TC:
Idk, why your mother is so much racist and agressive towards other races. My mother did not even tell me which sect did I belong to in my early age. I remember when I was in grade 5, a class fellow asked me whether I was Sunni or Shia or whatever. I did not even know what was a Shia or a Sunni. When I came home and asked my mother she told me that I was a muslim and that was what I had to tell everyone. When I insisted, then she told me that I was a Sunni.

These shows are specially made to make us (awaam) mental patients, this is what I think. These kind of crimes happen anywhere in the world. What is the meaning of broadcasting these programs which further demotivate us.
And don't ever abuse this country, if you think this is a cuntry, then try living in the West with NO family life at all, be treated like a terrorist and a second--grade citizen, do humiliating jobs and God knows what more.
