this blog was supposed to come about a week ago but got delayed by exams, now that they are finished, the first thing i did when i came home was write this blog.

the thing i want to discuss is the nature of Pakistanis.i my self am one but I am truly disgusted by our typical nature.there are many events i would like to discuss but lets just keep them to a minimum shall we?

When my dad went to turkey in 1994,he said that his group caused much disturbance every where they went to and on one occasion,a police officer came and sent them back to the hotel.lets talk about that event.since turkey's culture is like a european country, the couples over there hold hands and walk and talk etc.dad told me that when they got out of the hotel, they saw a couple sitting together and cuddling.the group saw this and started whistling and such things.the bystanders called a nearby cop to disrupt them.

in 1998,he went to colombo, sri lanka.he said there the group showed their true colors.when they got to srilanka, the bus that took them to the hotel was air conditioned,so the windows were closed tightly and a warning clearly said that do not open the windows while the A/C is on.like a typical pakistani, they ignored it and opened the window and started smoking.the bus driver told them to please close the window and stop smoking.instead of listening, they started abusing the driver, while abusing they said that hes sri lankan, what would he understand.but he did quite good actually.another sri lankan was sitting with them and he told the driver that "these are pakistanis, they never listen".

when the business trip was over, they were checking out of the hotel and in a daily routine, they check the bags to avoid any stealing and such.from almost all the bags, bathroom towels were found and immediately returned to their rightful positions.the guy on the desk aked them "are you people pakistani?"

these are the international incidents that my dad him self witnessed.is this what we really want?to humiliate our country in front of foreigners?

This blog is to be continued.

amazing, I have yet to see a person who can come with the positive aspect of that mentality but guess what I have to start by my own self, and i will start from this very place, lets talk about our mentality first did any one at any point in time had a thought about that reason why that actually happened? why do people like these react super odd in situation like this? why not other people who are actually called 1st world people doesnt react that way?
why we are acting like those TV show hosts who dramatize every thing that is so much important for us and shut their telecast without any conclusion? this is so frustrating to see we have lost our touch of positivity, actually we have lost everything, the honor, the respect and hope of getting better. I guess I have made so many " Why's" in my single post but being a Pakistani these question have to be answered some way or another I have yet to find a person who can answer and give solution of those things rather playing blame game like we do every day in our Assemblies/parliments/ uni's/ schools/ home.

comon guyz say somthing that can actually resolve this problem or make some one change his/her way of thinking.

it's a universal problem, it just occurs here so often because of the lack of unity. We are divided in to so many little pieces: (by race, political stance, religion, class, gender, age, football club, musical taste and so on). There are many "us vs them" feelings, so you're loyal only to your own kind while causing harm to the other.

I remember a friend of mine stole a CD from a music store once and was really proud to share that with us. He enjoyed telling people about how he stole the CD more than listening to it. Here's what I think is happening— we (as is in our small group of friends) were his 'team', and the shop (the evil corporation) was the other 'team'. So causing harm to the other 'team' while sharing the loot with his 'team', earned him "cool friendship points". I think if there was a feeling of unity between the two 'teams' through a shared belief or something this event of mischief might not have occurred.

I think we should promote neutrality (in every possible way and not only for this country, I mean universally) so that the only side we're on is everyone's side (or none's). For example to get over our gender differences, we develop a culture that discourages excessive masculinity and femininity so people are more or less gender-neutral and thus united in that aspect. We can also be united by age, by treating old and young alike and respecting them equally. United by social class, imagine you treating your massi like your phuppi. and so on.

    Couple of things:
-Your Dad has bad taste in friends
-Turkish People are just as noisy as some of us are
    -You are a whiny kid
-Do not say all Pakis are like that
-Punjabi Culture is about Shughal/fun/Impulse, so of course they would do it, embrace it or join another culture
