Try 1: FAILED
Details of this try:
Scenario:
Downloaded Mac OSX 10.6.3 retail DVD (~7GB)

Needed:
1x DVD-R DL (today is Sunday, can't get it from anywhere)

Googled:
How to boot from an ISO on HDD.

Found:
openSUSE install instructions lead to discovery of UNetbootin, a utility that MIGHT make adjustments to BCDEdit to boot an ISO on HDD.

Current Progress:
UNetbootin is extracting files from the DMG-converter-to-ISO image to a folder on C Drive after which it will modify BCDEdit to give an option called "UNetbootin" on startup.

Restarting the PC in some moments. Stay Tuned.

FAILED: UNetbootin could "find the file" (i.e kernel file...coz there isn't one)Waiting for tomorrow to buy a Dual Layer DVD-R. Out of other options, might try Grub4Dos again but it seems like a lost cause without a usb HDD
Try 2: SUCCESS!

So I went and bought a 10 Double Layer DVD+R pack for $11.99 (cheap eh :D) and burned the DMG image of the Mac OS X install disk to it.

Booted with a burned iBoot (nVidia) DVD and replaced the disc with the OS X Install disc I burnt. Selected the OS X Install disc option and was greeted with this screen.

Hi-res:

Now, I opened the Dusk Utility on it and formatted a primary partition on my 2nd hard drive (that I had made when I installed that drive) to Mac OS Extended (Journaled) and named that drive "OSX". Then i proceeded with the installation:

Customized the installation to exclude all the useless languages that I will never use, then proceeded.

Yup and that was it.

Doesn't change the fact that it didn't detect any of my network devices (Ethernet or Wifi) so I can't use it until this guy who's porting the driver from FreeBSD finishes it...maybe end of Summer.

so you got yourself a hackintosh eh, nice.. just the driver support sucks in hackintosh, as ofcourse they allow very few drivers and the indies who port the drivers arent able to port all the drivers or keep everything bug free.. i tried something similar on my xps laptop once, no internet + audio made me go back to win xp and get a mac mini for mac dev..

yeah the driver support is kinda bad. Atleast a person is working on the driver for Intel AGN 5100 Wifi :D no maybe later I'll use this thing.
I haven't read anything about kexts though...

I was thinking about doing this sometime ago. But I decided not to knowing that it will not work properly and the time required was too much. Good to see you got it up and running!
