it all depends. Yes sometimes its best to lie, like you wouldn't tell someone they made bad food at a party, but generally I think lying just gives you a short respite, its ussually never good to lie. Alot of people seem to start with this thinking and then go on to bigger lies all the while convincing themselves "sometimes" its the best thing to do. Well it isnt.

Now you're just being pedantic. :P A few months is no biggie, besides i hate being associated with teenagers so growing 20 is a bigger thing for me than being born itself

On a serious note, people don't have any sense of morality in general, its not just teenagers, we follow the people we see during our childhood and the adult generation is just as fucked up in its own way no matter how much they deny it.

Always telling the truth would probably drive the world into chaos. Cause like it or not, the truth is a tough pill to swallow. Saying the truth when it's better for everyone involved if you lie is a real show of how difficult always telling the truth is.

I've recently began following this principle of always telling the truth. Not cause I believe lying is a sin or some other cliche bs like that. I actually have no reason, it's a baseless principle that I picked up for some reason and have been following through on and believe me, I have been following through on it. And I can safely say that people like me less now or at the very least act differently around me.
