PSP software hacked??

hey guys...i saw this news on Geo that some hackers have cracked the PSP software and they are now able to put in information in it...and further more...prirated UMD's can be played on the PSP....ur thoughts??

hasnt the PSP software been hacked a long time already now ? pirated UMD's are new to me, if thats the case then that'll make pirating psp games a lot easier in pakistan as the current method requires you to only play games via copying them in the mem stick as far as i know.

PSP Software has been hacked like 100 times so far :). Every time sony releases an update some hacker cracks it within days(usually).

You can already play pirated games on the PSP (from Memory Stick). The problem with pirated UMDs is that Sony hasn't released a public UMD writer. So even if you are able to extract the game from UMD, you cannot make other copies of it.

Man that is old news.........the PSP was hacked as soon as it came to Pakistan......my uncle, who lives in Lahore, got a Free PSP cause he showed one of the guys selling Handhelds and Consoles on hallroad how to crack it......he used one of the DVDs that had PSP games on it and got PSP emulators for it.....forgot the full story but this is as much as i can remember

yeah may be but i think that sony had released some new software for the people and the hackers hacked that one too..i think this is the case right here
