Sony announced that it will have a new PSP available later this year, think thanksgiving and it is 33 per cent lighter, 19 per cent slimmer and has TV out. Sadly it doesn't look that different at all.
It will be available in three colours, black, white and silver. The white model is a special Star Wars Battlefront: Renegade Squadron edition with a Darth Vader silk screen on the back.
The new model will ship as an Entertainment Pack and will cost US$199.99. The silver version will come with a copy of Daxter and a 1GB memory stick pro duo. The Star Wars Battlefront: Renegade Squadron edition won't be available until the 9th of October.
The black version will be available in a more affordable Core Pack and as such it it will retail for $169.99, but it only comes with a charger and a battery in the box. Sony expects to release some 140 games for the PSP this year.

Yeah keep dreaming.
This is an amazing feature to be honest. It's the first time that the PSP has managed to impress me, however, I don't think this would be enough to save the console. Like Devil said, it's the same PSP but labeled as a new one with TV connectivity, so, yes, I think people who already own a PSP would be the ones upgrading to this, while the Nintendo fans would stick to their DSs. And casual gamers...might get this if it gets a price drop.
if only they had added the Built-In memory... If only...

well, you can always sell the 360 and gather the money ?
but smart money says your better off with a home console then a handheld, less hassle, more games etc..
