PSP Core Drops To $169 Tomorrow (http://kotaku.com/gaming/sony/psp-core-drops-to-169-tomorrow-249036.php)
http://kotaku.com/assets/resources/2007/04/psp_price_poster.jpgThe PlayStation Portable Core Pack will shed $30 from its current retail price to sell for $169.99 starting tomorrow April 3rd, according to our friends at Gamestop. The Core Pack comes with only an AC adapter and battery.
Sony's multi-function handheld got a pseudo price drop when the Core Pack was introduced at $199.99 last year, but this marks the first substantial price adjustment for North American gamers. It was recently rumored (http://kotaku.com/gaming/psp/rumour-retailers-put-hard-word-on-psp-244346.php) that retailers had given Sony an ultimatum to drop the price, but we are unsure whether this is a result of that or something else (http://kotaku.com/gaming/top/rumor-no-denying-it-psp2-is-coming-242845.php).
With the recent release of Puzzle Quest (http://kotaku.com/gaming/puzzle-quest/) and the promise of Disgaea PSP (http://kotaku.com/gaming/disgaea/) and Crisis Core Final Fantasy VII (http://kotaku.com/gaming/final-fantasy-vii/crisis-core-final-fantasy-vii-trailer-247263.php), the new price point is just one more incentive to pick one up. Anyone going to bite?
Thanks to Adam for the tip. Michael McWhertor

Just never upgrade via Sony's Official update. always use Custom Firmware, If you purchase one...

i'd say no say it doesn't have any built in memory and memory sticks will cost you a lot of money not to mention you'll still only have a maximum of 8GB.
And this isn't an official price drop its an in-store scheme

You can emulate game images on your psp by storing them on your memory stick. But this only works for the 1.5 firmware. The firmware released after that have fixed the problem. So you gotta make sure you dont update if you want free games. But I have heard that a firmware downgrader has been released for a while now. Anyone know ?
Hey guys wat is the price of PSP in Pakistan? and offcourse the game price too?
I m planning to buy it but i have heard that the games are so so expensive is that right?

You can get the psp for 12k and if you buy a memory card ( 2 GB = 2500 rs. ) then you can save game images on it and play them and that will cost you nothing.
And if not, then one original game costs 3k.
3k....for a single gameo_O man i m not gonna buy it then.

I think you havent heard about custom firmware. Thats the New Revolution in the PSP Scene. Its basically the modified version of Sony's official update. So it has all the functionality which Sony offers in the new updates + it can also play Homebrew and ISOs(Backed-Up PSP and PS1 games) straight from the Mem Stick. You dont even need any extra Tool to load the ISOs. Its pretty darn amazing.

You can get the PSP for around 12000 Rs. and the 2GB Mem Stick for about 1900 these days.
The game costs between 2400 - 2800 (depending on which game you want) But pirated PSP games are available in Market too these days. (They put around 8-10 games on a DVD and sell it for 250-300. You can then put the ISOs to your Mem Stick to play games.)
The ISO's which u r talking about work fine or give any problem?I mean 5 games in a dvd then how many out of 5 gonna be work?
they all worked for me so far... You can also download the PSP isos and PS1 games as well...
yea....but in my are they give a 15-20 game pack for rs 500
Lol, dont trust what it says on the cover of those DVDs, the games displayed on the covers are not on disc.

but i've heard that you can only store one game at a time and play on your psp via the mem stick, true usman ?
Yikes, that price drop makes it cheaper than Nintendo DS. Dark times coming folks.

Nope, You can store any number of games you want. It depends on Mem Stick. I currently have 4 games on my Mem card.
